How Much Is Grain Alcohol
Hohoho, Merry Christmas it from Brazil!
my hand a few weeks after writing abstinence, it is read again some of the summer Terra Mirim. A lot has happened since the end of October and German volunteers, we were just sucked in the jungle, this rather different society. Because of the abundance of things which I would like to tell, the reports to improve clarity, divided into four themes. These are located in the blog below Contents of this overview.
following will describe to me now more precisely
- An interlude with the Brazilian health system resulted in November
- In addition there was a nonprofit Halloween celebration and other activities of our youth group loved the neighboring village of Palmares
- We also dedicate ourselves to the choice of alternative-African or moloch million city of Salvador from different perspectives
- Anyone looking at the Brazilian Soccer Players in Germany, it is striking that it after scoring a goal like to extend our hands to the sky and thereby uncover the Jesus picture in the jersey - the influence of the Christian Church in Brazil is
I hope there are still interested readers who Despite the nearly two months now and deprivation pure taste again and inform about the service that it now makes me very joy. In this sense I wish you a Merry Christmas to Germany, not to mention a happy.
I even leave for a trip about that time with my mother in the south of Brazil, which will probably be the next big area of my state report.
Cordial greetings from Bahia,
Max
What Is The Discoloration On My Dog's Lip?
"When Max woke Stammnitz a November morning from uneasy dreams he found his back turned in his bed into a monstrous vermin." Not only the red-spotted backs, even the back of my legs had been under intense itching the pattern of my Tour de France - Mountain jerseys customized. Even my German project partner Dilan already made it longer festering pustules to create on their feet, so we saw compelled now to see a dermatologist. On the advice of a physician who is often in Terra Mirim to visit, we turned to a dermatologist in Salvador and promptly got an appointment for the following day.
The traffic chaos of the morning Salvador could harm us on that day not much, apart from the fact that made us get off the bus on the wrong side of the six-lane road with no traffic lights - which for the crossing of the necessary skills were able to so far neither the Capoeiraausbildung nor the intense desire for wave surfing training . Mediate Despite the constant sight of the hospital, we entered this reason delayed. Already in the entrance we were true, however, that this high-rise hospital would have the word deserves more (luxury) "Hotel". Guarded car park, perfectly trimmed hedges and a fountain in front of the brightly polished glass entrance door and all this amidst the smelly, noisy metropolis - with panoramic view of the huge slums ("favelas"). This insane contrast confirmed a short time later even more impressive when our Fahrstuhltuer opened and a neatly-dressed lift driver offered us a nice way his services.
In the well-conditioned, with flat screen TV equipped practice of Dermatologist Dr. Martin arrived, we were greeted kindly by the secretary. As zahlungsfaehiger Europeans could be enjoyed already in advance of a 200 reais (about 80 €) entrance fee. "Separate but equal" they said in the U.S. until the mid-20th Probably this century. While
Dilan has already summoned the doctor, I took the time trying to throw some views through the small waiting room and was astonished at a large advertising poster stand, emerged from the: This is also a practice for plastic surgery! From the Botox injection to the silicone implant you can take as almost everything in stock. Suddenly I thought, in each of the (weisshaeutigen!) faces in the comfortable waiting chairs to see a tightening in the face. And then the view from the window of thousands of oblique Ziegelhuetten with corrugated iron. Disgusting.
Finally, everything was quite harmless. A nocturnal parasite had probably over paved the way my new sheets on my back. I have been extremely nice of Dr. Martin's two - prescribed ointments and the setbacks were done in a week - exceptionally cheap. But the impression remains of the health care system: who pays, must clean. Who does not pay, go to a (free) hospital for everyone else. A (Marxist) class society?

Pokemon Soulsiver Mac Rom
For some time now, and I maintain Dilan often, in our finite week outputs as well as evening events, visit the neighboring village of Palmares. A little break from the quiet paradise garden Terra Mirim can have two 20 year old not hurt, yes, we thought.
We learned little by little, that this youth group under the direction of some end-20s (at least according to ID) is still in its infancy and the desire grow is to link to adolescent interests with social motives, and while the boys and girls to get from the street where the road is paved on the straight and narrow. Was then placed together in October a great Halloween party on the legs: a party room, with nearby rain water tank or pool, was organized as delicious food genauo African recipe. 250 people should the "hall" fill and a DJ playing chart hits from the Beatles to Bush (!). And the best part of the Thing: the entrance fee - either a kilo of rice, sugar, beans, or similar - Was achieved by all, then collected and distributed the following day to needy families. Thus took advantage of it the whole village: Sales for the completely overrun the corner store, a great masked ball, at which the back remember while most dark, but at the same time with joy, and full bellies in Palmares.
course, the group should not ausseinanderdiffundieren for this type opening ceremony again and so it was decided to convene regular weekly group meetings to discuss current events and ideas. This has been recently that plans for building a house for the family of a girl of our Group started. Their current dwelling can be described well with "danger of a collapse, crooked mud hut," which really only gets the furniture on the walls a little maintenance. The groundbreaking ceremony was already set and ready to dig the floor plan in the soil. The problem now is to maintain the participation of the group until the house is really finished. Due to time problems can only carry out the construction on Sundays and that makes it difficult to motivate one or the other, to tackle. But there is hope!
Actually, the whole village has no real water supply. Many residents get their water by using buckets from a river or off (sometimes dirty) Well, only some roads are connected to a public drinking water system that indulges in the rest, sometimes weeks of downtime. The hygienic and thus health risks from this are obvious. In addition, this is exacerbated by the fact that a sewer does not exist. Liquid waste of all kinds are as yet unknown in the surrounding waters derived. Waters to be bathed in them. Waters, which is drunk from.
Let's waste management. A little anecdote to this: One day I allowed myself a water in Palmares. Of course it is this here ONLY packaged in plastic bottles, moreover ONLY in 500ml bottles - have been completed with the plastics industry, which contract the Getraenkehersteller, I do not want to know first. In any event, the Brazilian politics at this point even more upside potential, or are some bribery case in some ministries of the environment to work in some states. Now I enjoy so noble that drops almost 40 degrees in the shade, and before I knew it, my elixir of life was already gone low. As exemplary, environmentally conscious citizen I looked now on the busiest street of the village for a (plastic) for trash. Unfortunately I did not find it. My drawn face of helplessness said, a boy's youth group, on top of that a member of the Conservation Youth by Terra Mirim, I should just throw the garbage on the floor. A quick glance to the side made me realize that this practice in the village is probably long-running, but I wanted to at least the basic experience of my counterpart, which reads as follows: "if we are to trash the floor, throw our friends a job and can make money, where they pick it up again. "Were it not for the many mosquitoes and stray dogs that feed on the waste and spread as diseases, not to mention the stench and not just the aesthetic . vision, you get on many postcards from Brazil to face
Another fact is Palmares, unfortunately, often fatal: the village lies on a major highway and is this divided into two parts because there is a traffic light does not exist and the road. executed perfectly straight through the town in the past did not come to a small population in trying to cross the street in their village, no wonder -.. at the time as continuous Traffic stream pace in 70th Even a senior member of the youth group is querschnittgelaehmt - he was hit by a car in Palmares. For these reasons it was one morning in Palmares, a large protest with full closure of the road and half the village gathered on it. This has sought at least to hinder that at Ortsein and output small Betonhuegel the unhindered by traffic. This event took place prior to the time when Dilan and I arrived here. But the fact that the eight year old son of our beloved youth group leader in mid-November, on the pavement running, run over and injured received life shows us that the issue is not solved a long time. Luckily it's the boy well again and he can be the beginning of January is released from the hospital!
is another source of annoyance in addition to the close proximity of the road: the passage of unwelcome figures from other parts of Bahia. Especially during the festive season - everyone needs a gift - right on the big street several cars and motorcycles were stolen, and attacked a supermarket. Due to the distance between the seat the next police station in Simoes Filho Palmares and the outer district police arrived the called regularly to one hour after events at the site, which may of course be no permanent solution. Two weeks ago, was now working with the major of the police in Simoes Filho, and about 50 representatives of on the outskirts of the city living (Envoy of Terra Mirim - Max S.) a safety conference convened to go to the problems on the ground. Since the police have to only 150 emergency services a huge area to control a length in the drawn 150,000 people city, there are unfortunately on their part is absolutely not to expect much. An anonymous hotline was set up and a good thing, a Security Council of committed citizens founded. This will now meet weekly, with the police are in contact, share information and while in the surrounding villages all events subordinate document.
a very interesting process here is set in motion in my opinion, because, Similar to the past is far from street protests, and recently the solidarity of the people on the other is stimulated. The dialogue among the residents is encouraged and developed a public awareness of what is to be reflected in the near future, politically. Apart from a more successful roadblock in the village as a sign of protest against an illegal Chemikalienverkippung in the adjacent forest, and finally there are initiatives to mobilize for a common voice for a sound water supply. Dilan and I try to follow as much as possible from these processes and a kind of dialogue interface over to fill the specialized civil rights and environmental experts in Terra Mirim with the inhabitants of Palmares. Since we are finally in the project with another youth group work, there is a lively exchange of information.
A German buyer will through us, only a few days old, protest initiative has about 30 young people from the region and Terra Mirimvertreter before the doors of City Hall led the city. There, we prepared a protest against a shady new environmental law - the first "demonstration" here in living memory! With the necessary calm and organized talks between the Environment Minister and five representatives from among us were able to Schluesselforderungen about citizen participation in environmental issues in the new law be included. A great success, even if, to the annoyance of some protesters, the painted "No democracy" - posters were rolled once. Those who read this may want more, like once OVER HERE LOOK .
guess is precisely why I use this newly acquired portfolio includes so much more than almost anything else here.
is precisely why Palmares for me a wonderful and charming place where there are also wonderful people. Palmares gives us all something back, rather than how we Germans had to listen to, unfortunately, frequently in excess to sink into his problems!

Can Herpes Only Be On The Stomach
If you would like to take only two weeks vacation from the stresses of everyday life in Germany, while still enjoying uninterrupted 35 degrees and want to experience something new, then you can apparently safely to stay in Salvador. But spend his life there? Today the city from which one gets to see as a tourist, usually no more than 1% of the localities, almost three million inhabitants, of whom a large proportion are located in one of the 99 favelas. But we do not judge this mega-city rash, but first take a closer and more pages under the microscope.
The first thing to keep in mind that in any guide books Salvador Brazil-and especially the historic old town quarter - missing not allowed - "Pelourinho". On the contrary, apart from the Sugar Loaf and the Jesus statue in Rio de Janeiro, it is probably the most widely advertised site of this huge country. That the masses of tourists every week to push for the narrow streets, has also spoken by the locals up in every corner of Brazil.
So we throw ourselves in tourists shell and then stroll in the Otto normal outfit - Gomez-shirt, swimming trunks and Adilette - through the historic center of Salvador.
As an interested German I am of course before thoroughly informed about this neighborhood: the time of the Atlantic triangular trade (ca. 1680-1888) countless slaves from West Africa to Brazil have been abducted to the rice, cocoa, cotton and sugar cane plantations of the Northeast States agrikulturelle growth base for the expanding and industrializing Europe grew. The geographical Location of the All Saints Bay, one of the closest to the West African coast lying areas of South America, as well as endless unused land area in the hinterland of Bahia, contributed to this, that a profitable, they were almost exclusively established on slave labor-based colonial empire under the Portuguese crown. And Salvador became the entrance gate and commercial center for this exploitive and inhuman and bustle of early Brazil. Located
Above the cliffs, boasting views of the Baia dos Todos-os-Santos "equipped Created slow this city with the many, rich with gold ornate churches and the elevator that leads down to the port city and the slave market. Until 1763 the was mainly limited to the Pelourinho Salvador even capital of the Brazilian colony.
After the murderous business in 1888 - so very late - had taken his end, was a broad cultural recovery process received by the now freed African-abstaemmigen majority of the population in Bahia, because at the time of slavery were Religionsausuebungen, owner of African language and song banned of course. This had led to the loss of thousands of years old culture. Thus developed in the 20th Fruehphase Century, now more of a mixed culture from various Western and African influences. Ranging from Capoeira, formerly a defensive martial art in the slave war, about the Afro-Brazilian Drum music styles to the vreschiedenen mixed religions - many things are still alive on the cobblestone streets between the houses of the narrow Pelourinhos!
That this small, colorful and winding old town today, the cultural center of Brazil's Northeast, is funny enough, but not that of course. Until the nineties, the district was gradually more and more degenerated into a favela - a lot of drug addicts residents, organized crime and dilapidated houses could be no way to make the "Pelo" for foreigners and the 99% of Brazilians live peaceful attractive. Then took the UNESCO and the state is a heart and made together a decent basic renovation of dilapidated Streets, squares and churches. The rent levels rose again, and many former residents of the Pelourinho district problem, it then moved to cheaper housing estates on the outskirts of unrest in the districts today. Superficially, the problems were thus solved, but in reality only outsourced.
Who would like to get grasp now even the vaunted Pelourinhogefuehl of today from a distance, can see the great music video for " They don` t care about us "by Michael Jackson to the African drumming group" Olodum " that the Old Town all its (computer edited) can vibrate colors. A catalog advertising Salvador could not identify exactly these pages better.
Sun, but now enough chatter, one wants to finally experience the first hand-Pelô atmosphere. So let's dive into this a little different world.
on local bus station in the port area of the lower city and the already mentioned a 150-year-old elevator "Elevador Lacerda" we cheat ourselves in and immediately walk through the colorful amusement. Welcomed one is immediately able from a variety of music styles that mix depending on the exact location, as often as Bob Marley sounds into one and liebesgesuelzte "Arrosha" rhythms lost in the other ear and result in a common, sometimes schaeusslich dissonant combination. The music spots are obvious, as also noted many times in Brazil, very close together marked. In Pelourinho joins a souvenir shop on the other (the souvenirs here are great!), In addition there are also many Bierstaende, Acarajé (the - far-fetched - greasy Bahian Doenerpendant) and popcorn on every corner. It will be constantly umhaucht of a bitter, pungent, spicy scent cloud, as long as you are not in one of the stinking of urine lost back streets.
As if this plethora of sensation were not enough, which unfortunately does not run unobtrusive, with a digital camera for people who can not encounter Germans about the way that first one's free, do Stoffbaendchen bind with "great" sayings on your wrist. A little small talk, "where are you from ?...", an (over) nice Brazilian Greet and then it goes to the real thing. For now we will angefluestert and to a rich assortment of drugs yet so unassuming Stoffbaendchenumbinders attention. Of hashish to crack everything is on sale. If you are the Opposite then understand that it leads Unfortunately, a cloudy Non smoking or Nichtschnupferexistenz, which quite surprised. However, he then offers a kind of him to give money anyway. No, because he has been unlucky. A "filho da puta" then you have to endure about themselves, which do I make but rather not for the general public. Let's run untouched so on, to old houses nested, (Mediocre) Capoeiragruppen to a small spot.
Here is offered to the Europeans a wonderful, romantic view. The sun sinks behind the islands to the west of All Saints Bay. It will turn red and the sky as the roofs of the lower town with its small port in front of the cliffs, at the upper edge you are.
I am in my five months I have been here now, no area occurred in Brazil Sun shady, just like the Herzstueck Salvador. It is actually impossible, as light-skinned German a normal walk to take through the Pelourinho.
Handtaschendiebstaehle pockets and are very common and if you really feel like getting to be attacked again properly, then you will probably just night one of the small, unlit streets and walled steep downhill to the waterfront. Heidelberger than you can imagine something like this as a lot of "snake path" from the Philosophers to the Old Bridge. But without guarantee, to arrive safely at the other end. In this way one can save the equivalent of 0.07 euros, the cost of the elevator that leads directly down to the bus station. In this way some stairs is small even with warnings and half "separation barrier" points from particle board, to tap the unsuspecting tourists and Gomez do not blend into the trap.
So he prefers to stay a bit up in the Pelourinho, over which it has become night. Some days, the district monitors now on in earnest. It goes to Praça José de Alencar, the steeply-sloping place in the already mentioned Michael Jackson video. There are often concerts, theater shows and other cultural events. Twice already, I could enjoy that allowed about 50 men + Saenger strong Afro drum group "Olodum" listen. Indescribably good is this the whole body vibrates with the rhythms, while simultaneously re-echoes the place and the amount aufgewuelte. A concert was even bathed in the rain, but the Brazilian party animals, does not mind the crowd and summarily decided to "one, two, three - free upper body." And not just the men!
With so much wet fun, beer and hormones in the air, it can take Our experience, unfortunately, not long before the first fights break out in the crowd. Apart from the now regularly interrupted by the music band, can only prevent a large police presence amid the crazy dancers worse. But then explore as four policemen with truncheons, kicked, slapped and beatings on the chest of one woman right before my eyes the top of the pyramid of power began, it was going at the time. 8 clock in the evening. Now I've experienced a lot, but what gives me to think.
It seems like so often in Brazil: Violence, poverty and the sad disillusionment are direct neighbors of their happiness, optimism, warmth and happiness. But, as already announced
up at the beginning: the Pelourinho, with its two dozen roads accounts for a negligible percentage of the surrounding metropolis of Salvador. It would somehow be unfair to stop at this point of the report. Finally, I am lucky to have already met a lot of other places that deserve to be mentioned.
As would be especially the countless beaches mentioned. Salvador has in this respect probably one of the best locations in the world. As immersion peninsula into the Atlantic, there are two partly fantastic, huge sandy coastline, which converge at the head of Salvador, the Lighthouse of Barra. That flows west to the Bay of All Saints also offers a variety of tranquil island paradise, where you can spend a cozy weekend. to relocate with a small boat to one of these islands, which is comparable cheap and quick. "I am nothing, you nothing," one has left the noisy city behind and ends up in a warm, shallow bay, where only few Capoeira warrior stir the sand, or the richer Brazilians thick (yes, it's clichéd!) Tan bellies. A trip to the peninsula "Itaparica" is any Salvadorurlauber recommended that the fruits of the schnuckligen boats are even included. In addition, the company has recently which, in my opinion, megalomania, project the state government in the near future, a bridge from Salvador to build according to Itaparica - that way across the Bay of All Saints - and this will destroy the increased volume of traffic these remaining idyll of a day.
little note on the side: instead of spending tax money for a functioning school system, police or ordinary schools, is invested in a mega project that Kant would turn in his grave. Who knows if the construction company, the Supervisory Board not accidental in the Parliament is sitting?
Very well, at least the really very restful day round trip will cost by the All Saints Bay in the torque 15 € per person - my clear recommendation! to Salvador itself can make no comment on the standard Badevergnuegen. All 29 districts (!) Border on the land for the. Some sections are more beautiful and some less. often leads such as a large, noisy traffic artery just behind the sandy strip of recovery or the stinking sewers as yet unknown, making its way into the sea. Caution you must have on all beaches this big city when it comes to exercise valuables! There are enough "Capitães de areia" - to German: to steal, so children and young people whose favorite sport is to watch the unsuspecting swimmers, money and cameras - Strandkapitaene. A small recommendation can I give good beaches but: In the north-east of Salvador, that is near the airport, there are some kokospalmengesaeumte Paradieslein with beautiful waves and free-running and ice Sonnenbrillenverkaeufern. These beaches, with the name "Stella Maris", "Vilas de Atlantico" or "Praia do Flamengo" not quite come to those further north approached outside the city, they provide in any case a nice Caribbean feel.
What has yet to offer Salvador? One might even a poetic tour take by about five giant shopping center, but get bored you can elsewhere.
closing let me with one last funny story about "Salvador and its Metro. The Public
Verkersnetz is now equipped with old, noisy, smelly, broken buses that race without timetable and journey times across the city. "This will change," promulgated in 1999, the City Council of Salvador.
The residents were delighted with the beautiful designs are winning an S-Bahn in the newspapers, which meanders through the almost futuristic between the roofs of many Hauchhaeuser and unseeligen traffic stop commands.
Implementation this construction should be partly related to their financial statements in 2003, but somehow there was probably wrong what. Rather than completely in one go to make the two subway lines ready, it was decided to be a solution with the rates paid to the responsible contractors and related sub-section sites. The finance committee of the city must be a case but have fragmented maechig. Because the money for the rates soon became very scarce. So you stood at the beginning of the new decade, quite helpless. On the one hand, smaller pieces of track laid above ground construction had already been completed, but the view was soon working on a metro first then. The expected lengths of the lines have been corrected - namely shortened. And yet the construction process moved with his constant interruptions ever in the length, and has still found no end, after the opening has been postponed year after year. A prime example of sloppy programming. Now slowly begin some sections, which were built at first to be unusable. The weather elements they had over the last ten years and not up to the maintenance had to be grossly negligent not care.
30,000 euros (80,000 reais), the Government also apply for the monthly rent of an unused train, traveling - next planning mistakes - were bought early and can not be used now. A city has at its Project clearly quite taken over. Who would like to learn more about this says, at best a taxi driver in Salvador on this topic. Our experience is obtained on the question of what holds that the squandering his taxes, namely a loud "Meu Deus", "Ave Maria" or just a smile with schmunzliges Ackselzucken. Today, the Metro is still not finished, may be living in Salvador, Brazil also pleased indeed to a new Golden Gate Bridge to Itaparica! I'll come back around 2020 times.
That leaves still draw a conclusion: Salvador is a huge metropolis which has grown faster than they could grow. The historic Pelourinho and some distributed over the rest of the city churches, as well as the many beautiful beaches are the highlights. There are people who manage to get otherwise can not only by the noise, the stench clouds, the obvious poverty of many municipalities, the stress and the risk stellenabhaengige from the holiday mood. There must always know yourself, how resilient he is. I have found for me personally that I am adding this moloch big city and my rhythm is another. Maybe it's because I've just taken there almost never vacation mature Mario Gomez-tourist role and know from the beginning to the dark side of the city had to learn that are often repressed.
Heidelberg has won for me.

Can Alcohol Be Drink After Lorazepan
A city tour by Simões Filho on one evening during the week. On the streets is not a lot going for walks at least a few dogs from the car on the way. Odd as fact for a city with almost 120,000 inhabitants, or about the size of Heidelberg. Because with my evening, I 19.00, maybe 20.00 clock. Somehow affect the ghostly empty paths. But wait! There, on the corner of bright light comes from a large front door. "What's probably all about have? "I asked my Brazilian seatmate and driver. "Well, that's a church - an" Adventist "! "An Adventist? What is that? There `s about the only in December?" He sets the Rueckwaertsgang and we stop at the front door to our right.
The medium sized, highly polished room - at first sight cleaner than most houses here - is full to the last seat, even push on the wall are still people. And all singing, all really. An audible computer-composed hymn is thrown with little boxes in the room and sets the clock. In parallel, a Powerpointpraesentation is thrown against the wall: wonderful images from nature Amazonia and the right song text at the bottom. Especially the many children in the front rows do their best to breathe life into the choir. "Jesus loves you, your captain, it controls your ship, it will not perish ...". And in certain passages one can almost speak of a choreography, with all their hands stretched in the air and keep towards the altar.
Where did you seen this before in Germany? A fully staffed church on a typical weekday. Fully occupied with a market share of 80% over 50 years, but at least half full of children! And have a fun, highly visible. There is much laughter and good and blasted the minister replied: "Who is Jesus Mother? "-"! MARIA
Such or similar situations to me in the past five months often encountered. And I almost never know what I'm now supposed to think. Since it is have time for a proper reflection. And I want to share with the readers of my blog, because for each of the Brazil interested in this subject is indispensable. The following sub-chapter was an attempt to neutral as possible overview of the situation given in my environment, to which should be formed naturally everyone has his own opinion. However, I can not think now in retrospect that the text was still strongly by my own ideas and opinions. It is obviously difficult, to always remain objective when a one topic on your mind. So an apology in advance! First of
once again the facts: about 70% of Brazilians are committed to Catholic Christianity, and about 15% to Protestantism. However, it must be the same at the beginning clearly said: Protestantism in Brazil has done very little in places, with the Lutheran-Protestant Church of Central Europe. On the contrary, conservative, Bible-believing independent churches, so-called "evangelical" movements, are common and run the Catholic Church - Brazil, the most Catholic country in the world "- from the rank today. According to estimates there are now about 35,000 independent churches in Brazil, Still rising. Since I am no expert in church, I want to apologize at this point for the second time in advance. What exactly is the difference between a "normal" religion and a free church, I can not say. Nor could I tell whether now is the "Adventist", "Trinity Kirchler", "universe Christians", "Jesus-is-the-Lord-Christians" or the "Christian Assembly" free churches or other spin-offs. As in the following words can be mixed a bit wrong, does not belong mixed. order to complete the numbers: In Bahia is very pronounced, is still a polytheistic African religion which "Candomblé" calls, all belonged to the well some people from our circle of friends here. The total of supporters of this religion of at least 1.5% of the total population of Brazil.
people who feel in this country does not belong to a religious divide, so only a very small percentage of their countrymen, this is probably the biggest difference to us in Germany. So faith does for most people here also have a central role in everyday life. Be it the regular church attendance, volunteer activities within the community that deal with the Bible or simply talks about views of the various denominations with a beer on the street corner. alone the 5000 Einwohnersdoerfchen Palmares has seven (smaller) churches and two Candomblé "temple". And as in Simões Filho, these religious places are very well attended. Often, even large buses pass by, to deliver people from outside of religious services or rituals, and then bring them back home. In Heidelberg, people meet up to go out to the movies to celebrate together, eating and drinking in the city - where people meet for the common listener, praying and singing.
But is it really "pray and sing" only? Sure, by the many willing to pay church tax-believers communities amazingly high sums of money are available. The poorer classes feel it is their clear duty to fund a good deed to their church: an orphanage, a children's garden, food donations, and so well-noted but very often a Christian orphanage, a Christian kindergarten or a meal at a Christian event. And offer (out in Mato Grosso), the missionaries from the U.S., the free interpretation of the Bible lessons for Indians coming along well alone and without Finanzstuetzen. Funds find their way into the church building but obviously itself: in Palmares are the different Gotteshaeuser not only the cleanest, but also of infrastructure - in terms of static and electrical equipment - the best houses. The "Trinity Church" even all the drums, amplifiers, some electric pianos and other musical equipment more expensive to buy, where during the day are occasionally given lessons. Can afford such Bandzubehoer actually none of the inhabitants.
In terms of financing of the clear view from outside is not always easy. Some people have told me, for example, that there are churches who call themselves also as "evangelical" show after practice but the same properties of the vorlutheranischen Catholicism. For if one is compelled to "donate" to go with respect to a higher probability after death to heaven, then one may speak of indulgences. The extent to which reality the same at this point with the stories, I do not like to say, because "to ask for a donation" and the line between "ask for a donation to the soul in the afterlife because of" is finally flowing.
no doubt that the Christian associations have taken their financial opportunities through a position of power in Brazil, which in Germany is no comparison. In the media - especially television - is the influence of some very big when it comes to reporting the news. Every Sunday worship services run on X canals on television. With obviously good ratings.
An interesting example that my mother and I waehrund our common New Year's holiday (Report is left now) and could follow by TV, shows the power of the church to perhaps particularly well in Salvador was an infant admitted to a hospital. On one opens at, it was found that the body of the child was over and over inheritances with about four inches long needles under the skin. Merkwuerdigerweise but there were no punctures on the skin. On every newspaper covers, on TV, Internet news feeds - for days: a mysterious history with even more mysterious images in the public seemed to come good. It was then speculated: voodoo rituals, black magic and such things were all the rage. For even the poorest Brazilian households have a TV now.
now transformed this into a Hetzkampanie Raetselraten soon. In many churches, the theme was taken up grateful: "The African religious are barbaric, inhuman, a shame for us." Distinction is noted that one can not of course the trouble between the many Afro-Brazilian religions. "All in a drawer" was the motto. 2000 kilometers away from the action, in Mato Grosso, that is, a rural region in the interior, unfortunately, not many people interested, that there are huge differences between the traditional religions of West Africa. There and in many other parts of Brazil are now just all the spiritual practices of the black population demonized together. And the church that is this story about her sometimes self-financed TV channels zurechtgeschneidert beautiful preaching, then in the Gotteshaeusern own against the "black peril".
For me personally this is simply a very modern form of racism. Yes, ultimately, the stepfather of the child has obviously had a connection to a group that experimented with "dark magic". A worse case, no doubt, and the child is doing well I'm sorry. But I must caution a friend who is part of the Candomblé religion is quoted: "The step-father had connections to African Religion, therefore, but to in any way Candomblé. Compounds, the Christian church for that matter -. To Holocaust deniers, to genocide of indigenous inhabitants of South and Central America and a consequent centuries of gold robbery, the crusades, to the non-rehabilitation of Galileo by 1992 "
course, this is a very exaggerated rhetoric and polarized, not less, than do the TV church. Nevertheless, we should not, I think we presume to take the moral finger and look down on others. Where we're on the topic of "looking down", here are a little story to it. There are about 30 people sitting in a semi-crowded bus from Simões Filho, among them the author Max S.. Most of the time it is rather quiet, except for the clatter of the bus body. Absorbed in my most interesting reading, I initially did not realize that my front man rises slowly, then turns around and holds a book with one hand (as to the threat) to the height - the Bible. He starts it slowly and forcefully to convince the assembled bus. Amazed, I am already. What he is talking about exactly, I can not understand. Especially when he then opens his book since elevated, the index finger of your other hand is aimed wildgestikulierend it and begins to quote. Strangely, however, that he reads aloud while continuously flips back and forth. The whole show, he must have - more or have learned by heart - less theatrically convincing. Middle of the normal rate, he then screams at once: "DEUS! DEUS! DEUS "I feel like my neighbor winces at the sudden note change and even I do not feel well, so an - felt - insane to have before me. With his now-cramped stiff index finger, he now points to each rider who is now at around screaming continued: "JESUS! DEUS! MARIA "He can go through the Flyer bus and a burned CD with him and his many Goldzaehnen on the cover are missing not allowed. What would have happened in Heidelberg, if such a person and einsteigt losfeuert verbally? Here, people have apparently already accustomed to the silence Flugblaettchen go through the rows of seats. The preacher thanks to a windchill 20 minutes to thank for listening, shouting in Duesenjetlautstaerke still a "MAY GOD BE WITH YOU!" Into the audience before him and gets out. I've probably already seen five times. What a crazy world.
crazy also this: A friendly, a bit older Senhora recently invited us in to their baptism. "Wow," we thought, "one baptism is already a special event in life." The whole story in a nutshell: after a three-hour service, which had nothing to do with the subject of baptism, the pastor asked, according to the quantity "who would like be baptized like? "14 people came forward and finally migrated successively into a kind of big bathtub at the end of the hall. Schoen after the series: a small blessing of the pastor, a short dive, a photo with the pastor for the family - that's it. The mass baptism went to the tough Vorprozedur with the many Power Point Songs on the wall right by quickly. Had I initially pretty excited that the children of women not in their baptismal service took part, but rather outside hanging out, so I was clear in retrospect why. Much more than me the next day was told her son that it was their baptism was fifth.
Unless The church therefore probably not penetrated into the daily lives of residents. But, and now I get to the last and I believe most crucial part of this great theme in many other places it is. Like many young women get here within a child under 20 years, that number would interest me very much. For there are certainly some. Is it because they have not been solved? For sure! But is that really the only reason? I personally have my doubts about this matter. For the pregnant women are often already married. to marry at 18 years is common. And the children are also not uncommon in this age to be desired.
How many times as I was of children in our Ecological school asked if I was already dad or at least husband. A 19 year old girls who also work together on the school wants to marry necessarily this year. The appointment is in stock in February. Marry her first boyfriend. And as I said before: no one here to broods "that's still very young to be at this age to be married." It's just normal. Is it really the fact that young people would like this country so early ("until death do you part") and their partners to stay together? Each blond-blue-eyed woman who runs one of Salvador is to deny that quite well, they have at least five "Anlockungspfiffe" heard behind him. And the men of any age and sometimes by men, on whose lap just sits a woman.
So we go but believes that people with the love it here sometimes do not take that seriously either. And still get married so early - how can that be?
In Brazil, or at least in our Vale do Itamboatá here, the path of a newly couples in love inevitably about the families of the partners on luck. Mother and father have to say the happiness of their children "rubber stamp", so there are no problems. Sure, Germany is interested in the parents, while drifting the heart of the son or daughter. But if the partner or the partner is not a total plum, they mingle with their 20-year Offspring but not in its relationship after the motto of "not coming here in the house" (or?). Since it can happen here, for example, that a family trying to obtain information about the other partner and his family - but not by asking the child to own, but through friends, acquaintances and their friends. "If the partner is a faithful soul?", "He has good manners?", "He dresses well?" "Does he drink?", "Go in the evening at the weekend, he behaved in the Church? In OUR church?" Yes as far as it can get.
This happened with a friend of Dilan and me. That was with a 18 year old boy come to hear his parents in an evangelical church. Unfortunately, her family is Catholic, which funny enough, here - unlike Germany - is considered liberal. Her style seemed much more rock clothes the parents of all Partners other than to please. So the love was not summarily prohibited. The family of a partner leaves the boys of course and certainly not into the house. There actually is only one way out: "secret" love. That sounds kind of hollywood ajar. Or does the marriage and thus hopes for independence from the ratings by parents as a solution? In this case, it is fortunately (or ungluecklichweise) does not come so far.
The sexual revolution on the European model did not take place in Brazil. For at that time here there was the wedding of a military dictatorship that was to move away up in the late 80s and the former generals have choked the student unrest in its germ, political purges and the like included. The conservative image of the family was therefore in the course of history never really attacked or challenged, as we had the case in Germany. The verdict regarding the male or female partner to talk to parents.
Then imagine you have to dress nice in his new family, left a good impression and certify that they will take care of good care of his sweetheart or loved ones.
And the fact is that the religion of the "new Family member "in this familiarization process often plays an important role. We know as parents know about the other churches in the village. Finally, in their own church tells about the others and the efforts to distinguish themselves are clear. Thus, each church has its own doctrine. The "Christian congregation," writes, for example, on the flag that its members do not drink alcohol and do not irritate the clothing of the opposite sex (no rock allowed for women and similar jokes.). The justification is by certain Bible passages. The "Adventist", at least on the paper Vegetarianism and the honor Saturday. The "Trinity Kirchler" are the biggest hymns Singer. Sense of self to one's own faith as a whole is kept very high, and flows into a kind of family honor. And there has to fit the new partner of the child in the picture.
Just imagine, after several months of hard Eingewoehnungszeit for the relatives of the couple noticed that it fits with the love but not so well off, and a place some time later, another partner. Especially in a small village will be whispering to each corner and blasphemed, because ultimately, everybody knows everybody and they all have their stories. Then the families involved feel under attack. And then the churches involved. Thus, the leads may be all together to a further delineation. Do we not stand too far and no cases sweeping statements. Sure there are those in Brazil and those families. I speak here also shows the village life in a big city like Salvador, the situation looks very likely different.
Nevertheless secret hobbies, marriages, infidelity, a woman with five children by four men, very early pregnancy and also just getting married at age 18 - all we have seen. And so it is probably contributed by a deep-rooted, in some way linked to the faith of family honor. Those pleased to present to the outside is occasionally personal happiness of the young people.
Life can be more complicated than it really is. How about instead of "Carpe Diem"?
Oh yes: And a big thanks to the '68 revolution in Germany.

For Custom Line/1956/2 Door
Edivaldo is probably the first to stand up to the normal Monday in Brazil to the operation of the ecological school on the great road BA-093 - followed directly on the grounds of the Fundacao Terra Mirim - their happy life after Last weekend to breathe again. Edivaldo is the school bus driver.
to its cozy mood, he does and pleasurable sipping down his obrigatorischen Cafezinho to sell every last bit of sleep. Quickly on to the baking mix and pack ice pack under his arm and goes out into the dawn of Bahia. At one author unknown location Edivaldo joins after a short time on his great friend - the school bus. What kind of music it must be today? What is the (children's) hits in Brazil? Edi knows. And so he turns cheerful humming to himself the music system of the bus, it sinks to its loud creaking driver's seat and the vehicle is in motion. Now he makes one trip through the surrounding communities of the Vale do Rio Itamboatá - Simoes Filho, Oitero, Pitanga, Danda & Palmares - and collects his beloved.
His loved ones, those are the school children. Meanwhile, they need the short blue pants and T-beijefarbenen shirts saying "Escola Ecologica" bear no longer to be recognized by the side of the road racing by Edi and collected. Because he knows his "sheep" good. Still applies in this school, the national uniform requirement, thus ensuring the same colors at the kids on the bus. With the rising of the sun and becoming full of school bus also increases the volume and mood of the occupants. The children sing and they look forward to a beautiful morning in the safe environment of peaceful nature and people of Terra Mirim.
peace - that is, after many of they deeply crave. The list is long. Alcohol and drug addicts parents. Families where the father beats up the mother before the eyes of the child and the children themselves also fall victim to the violence. A home by sleeping on the floor without a dinner, along with his many siblings. In Germany, probably would cause every single case in the form of an image corresponding headline indignation and horror in our affluent society. Not so here, in northeastern Brazil.
are at 9 clock in the morning arrived all the children, one is greeted by loving the different teachers and volunteer youth workers, which in some cases even earlier this school have visited. After a short romp in the open-it goes directly into the classroom. There are generally two classes, one for the older (12-16) and one for younger (7-11) crianças ". Instruction is in accordance with the educational concept of "Integrative Ecology" to be directed, which makes the issues related to our natural environment to the forefront of design. A good example: It is a poem read aloud over the colors of the butterflies and depreciated according to a butterfly handicrafts, and when the time still enough taken a walk to the lake, where there is to admire all kinds of butterflies. But also allowed music lessons from Carla, the guitar teacher from Terra Mirim, computer science hours in brand new and topausgeruesteten computer rooms, volleyball and teaching by the author they receive.
The lessons in the classroom for German ears are conspicuous, according to what the one on the Hellhoerigkeit and size of the room - is, on the other, the tempramentvollen nature of children. As the teacher, which in most cases even to serve a second class (of about 10-25 students), like the teaching about hinwegbruellen that certain noise levels, the author thought spontaneously in his first encounter with this backdrop of Urupax. Nevertheless, he found that teachers with their seemingly inexhaustible patience, skillfully done, bring the children in this way to teach something. Discipline is imparted from the very beginning, then after each lesson swept the room together abputzt and the tables, and once a week Generalsaeuberung made the school to tackle at all.
After class games is the word: in the large garden play area with its swings, slides and Kletterbaeumen, in the covered football field or in a small house with a doll's house. Everything a child's heart! While the kids play, makes itself a part of the teacher / youth began to prepare for the free lunch. Healthy food is cooked, served with fresh squeezed juices with lots of vitamins. For some children it is the only meal a day. And accordingly, they eat - is rarely anything left on the plates, which they then wash yourself. Today is one of many Lucky the children in the ecological school: Edi has mentioned how in the morning do not forget the cake mix for the cake and the ice. After his short Vormittagsnickerchen on the trampoline at school with a pack of nuts in the arm, he devoted himself to his actual favorite thing - the baking. Now it may a special orange-coconut-chocolate cake for dessert composition for his little ones, they eat thanks to big eyes.
leaves at noon Edivaldo then most of the school bus to their respective public school in the area, since the ecological school is only an educational "extra tender" of Terra Mirim. The normal state school must pass by each child. Because of the sometimes catastrophic conditions in the public schools (overcrowded classrooms, students without school bags and related materials, teachers with no training and motivation, etc.) may ask the reader, however, because what is now supposed to call the additional service.
Since school in Bahia in three periods of the day - morning, afternoon, evening - is divided, the school bus picked up at the discontinuation of the morning the children the same afternoon from the ecological school children who have attended public school in the morning. And so the cycle is then repeated one more time, however, replaced the dessert of the cake with the ice.
So it creates this school on a day when many children Joy to breathe to allow peaceful vitality, thereby getting more teaching. And if Edi sells 17 against the clock last singing school children at home, he is happy that he has made an important contribution.

How Does A 18month Get Stap Infection
a sunny greeting from Terra Mirim!
After busy weeks, I would like to once again tell something about life on the other side of the big sea.
While in Europe breaks the winter, nuclear power is back trendy and Guido "is Germany," Westerwelle was foreign minister, were 200 million celebrate Brasileiros and Brasilieras and watch as their beloved President "Lula" in public tears are on her cheeks rolling down. What had happened? Olympia 2016 - Rio de Janeiro, it had become reality! The first time in Olympic history comes the world of sport to South America. And Obama's Chicago fared no differently than Stuttgart 2012th As if that were not enough, there are spoiled for the Brazilians or the Soccer World Cup 2014 as icing on top of it (the application runs for the Olympic Winter Games already). In the following decade, for me, so technically vacation quite a bit decided or set the sporting goals.
But not only in Vergnuegungsgeschaeft is my new home in October become active political signals have been set. Keyword 350th Those who read my last entry / About Mail has been at the weekend, perhaps surprised by the positive media response to this global climate tags. Thousands of photos, the number of required concentration of CO2 in our air - 350 ppm - is distributed across the globe in various versions have been already collected. According to the operators of the movement was the day a success! In the next few days is now trying to access the consciousness about the lessons to transform the future of our planet in pressure on our elected representatives. It remains to be seen with stress, how things until 7 December, the opening day of the Weltkilmakonferenz in Copenhagen, erntwickeln. A photo has also contributed Terra Mirim. As part of the three days of EcoArt Festival in the Fundação was painted by two technically gifted young women one side of the building department of the environment (Ambiental) wonderful. The annual increase in CO2 content - graphically and adjacent to the outline of a huge number 350th Everyone was allowed to brush his hand, then metaphorically put his seal to the interior of the number. As you can see from the photo, some are also involved.
And he does it. I do. We all tuen. It starts with the clothes we wear and the fish we eat, go over to the keeping of livestock, the products we eat and to the electricity that we consume (even this Bloggeintrag heats up the climate). We continually forget an important fact, and this forgetting seems to be a neurobiological Verdraengungsvorgang that occurs only in Homo sapiens: we are mammals! We need air, water and food, like any other creature on earth as well. And here we go again "live deliberately" in the subject. The shamanistic philosophy deals much with the four elements - air, water, earth (food), fire (cellular respiration) - which are the very foundation of all life. But fatally buy what it is, not to be dependent on it. Until something is missing. Then it is a rediscovering.
conscious life, that is, keep in mind that my plastic bag lands in the Pacific Muellstrudel my children eat and fish in their digestive tracts Kunststoffgranulatstueckchen. That my car emissions, the Maldives and drown Voelkerwanderungen be set in motion, go to the front of his own front door - and Lampedusa Co. are just the beginning. The fact that my piece of beef because of the rain forest in Brazil soybean production (cattle feed) and remove the cancer destroyed all other institutions in the world hit with, ultimately, me. To turn this awareness that can be learned here and it is perhaps an ideal, when I look at Terra Mirim. Today was before my eyes, not 10 yards away, running over a big dog on the road in front of our bus stop by a jeep with pace 70th This suffering, this pain that had written this proud animal on the face. With lifeless hind legs and a broken pelvis, for roadside slow, there to die. It is still branded into memory. Just as The driver, who cares a damn and drove on. Live consciously or unconsciously?, That is the question.
But to come back to earth with a bump on the back: is the "regular" work is of course also
Once a week we must be out by 7 am the gardener in the clock. Because then gather all the staff of the Fundação to within entwildern to two hours a piece of the large campuses. Then, the machete is wielded, grass raked together, unpacked the trimmer and beautiful einzusauen correctly. In case of rain the whole thing even more delicious. Mud is flying through the area and the washing machine is looking forward to new food. It is a beautiful thing when you see how a relatively large Gartenstueck within such a short time again accessible. At the same time one feels surprisingly good to expend directly after getting up and then go have breakfast with the feeling "now we have already done what! Done
we have in the past four weeks more. The library has already arrived in the post-perfect condition. After we removed them and each of the approximately 1,000 books individually inspected and cataloged - had, as well as appropriate new Orientierungsschildchen, one could consider this small room with a little self-praise. This week were now the children of the ecological school in the library to host, to hold a small reading hour. They have left us quite a mess. One can confidently ask, why have children, which might not even read properly, raged so in the column "parapsychology". It was probably more concerned to examine the binding of the books than to read it.
what our lives here are also beautiful is the steadily better and better contact with young people from the neighboring village of Palmares. We feel every time a fiddle when we drive the 5-10 minutes by bus from Terra Mirim-terrain along the BA-093 and then get into the "real Brazil". The funny thing is: we never really make an appointment with the people. Instead, we just come and take only directly but always someone to tell with whom we sing, or just have fun.
These people are really deeply impressive people, are among others also the African Candomblé religion or the Communist Party of Brazil to close and open to a very amazing way the eyes for the world. We first met most of them young people at a youth camp in Monte Gordo, a tiny village near the beach probably the most beautiful I have ever seen. Under the slogan: "Sleep is prohibited," we have a whole weekend playing self, enjoyed the beach (despite drizzling rain) and the morning started early at 6 clock Samba rounds. Since we have not been announced, what to expect - namely virtually no room to lie down - could the few and short sleep phases with the Brazilian flag as a thin blanket and enjoyed my sweater as a pillow. Countless mosquitoes fulfilled in those nights I dream of her lifetime supply of food, it should be until the last day to be counted about 150 stitches on my arms and legs. But that did not detract from the good mood. Nor, as the fact that I was painted in the sleep of people caipirinhisierten frequently with color! Pronto. Agora, vou continuar a trabalhar. Tenho que alimentar as abelhas. To grande abraço para vocês e até mais!

Convert Studio Vision Midi
On 24 October there will be a global day of action on climate change. The occasion is the December climate change conference held in Copenhagen, for fun and the run we make Terra Mirim in the public debate on this issue with.
This global day of action takes place under the motto "350" instead. 350 that the scientifically determined value (in "particles per million) of C02 concentration in our atmosphere, we would need to the ever-accelerating rate of melting of glaciers and ice caps, and other consequences of global warming just barely averted. This value was before the era of industrialization still at 275 and now - at 387! OTHER FACTS
This movement - 350 - is just around the globe and it is for the action day on 24 October already more than 3,000 events planned around the world. Transparent to the higher peaks of the Himalayas, ringing church bells 350 times and activities in the Great Barrier Reef are dazugehoeren. On
350.org anyone can express his own voice on the subject weight.
If a small political slide from here (Obama's Internet campaign workers having shown us), then after the next weekend full of events follow a proper review once again!

Private
I separate work and private life does not separate, but here it is, of even more private than before, although I will refrain from intimacy though.
family genealogy I have not been used. All I know is that my paternal ancestors from the Saale-Unstrut area or from the Querfurt-Merseburg plate and maternal come from the Middle Rhine Valley and the Münsterland . There are also each have some relatives that I sometimes know and love but partially not. Ulrich Schmidl is unfortunately not one of my ancestors, because genetically speaking, my father, the first in the family was Schmiedel.
My parents Rudy and Maria do not live anymore. They gave my siblings and me a safe home in childhood and youth, the right mix of roots and wings. I am very grateful.
My three sisters Monika and Norbert Rolf, all older than me. They contributed to the above-mentioned security that I experienced as a nestling, in essence. Also I am very grateful. And their spouses Volker, Monica Ruth and I are also fond of like siblings.
instead of smaller siblings I have four nephews Dirk, Björn, and Stefan Dennis. Which are now very independent in different occupations, and Dirk took care with his wife Patricia for the next generation in the form of their daughters, Sarah and Melissa Ann-Kathrin, the latter my evangelical godson, although I'm not even evangelical.
uncles, aunts and cousins I mention not now, although I mostly am a great believer.
Since 1998 I am married to Petra, my home on two legs. In 2004, we sealed our marriage again with a religious ceremony. We have no children.
Petra brought me two parents, Inge and Kurt, in my life. They are We deal with advice and support in our attempt to life.
friends I had of course, especially Lothar I since 5 School year know, and Andrew, whom I met in my forestry studies. The two are fast friends, even without that we would have already done every day together. Besides many dear fellow students from the Universities of Bonn, all of which would be too long to enumerate here, I would like to mention Ferdi, Germany's ambassador to the No. 1 men's rock movement, the practical me on this blog spots here made carefully.
Ferdi died suddenly on 11.9.2008. Read / Read to ask my obituary below.
Geographical home
I'm Rhinelander, an inhabitant of the country at Rhine , that river, the so-between the west and center of our " Europe " said Peninsula of Eurasian continent of the Alps Coming to making its way through the highlands and then flows to a few kilometers across the open country in a Delta in the North Sea .
My immediate home area is the Middle Rhine and Rhenish Slate Mountains . Really right in the middle where the two intersect landscapes where Taunus, Westerwald dance , Eifel and Hunsrück in a ring around the mouths of Lahn and Mosel , I was born in Koblenz and grew up in Lahnstein .
live in the moment I Bonn, Siegburg and Obererbach . Until recently, even Bad Kreuznach it.
religion
This is a little complicated, because I can not just say that "I am a Christian" or "I am a Buddhist" or something. Actually I am a typical example of (post) modern patchwork of religiosity, a bit of everything. Well, then again, not of everything.
from the feeling I am a theist, agnostic, or more precisely from her mind, constructivist, by her Buddhist meditation practice and the ethics of her humanist. As an infant I
was a member of the Roman Catholic Church and still am, and since 1994 the German Buddhist Union .
Na, confused? Who wants to unravel, just ask me.
philosophy
The friendship of wisdom, one does not necessarily foster academic, but it's about thinking through the right mix of, meditate, talk, read, listen, write, observe silence, and also act to develop the wisdom that enables one to lead a good, meaningful life. I have written to that effect so much of what I now have on hand but not digital.
values
think very highly I each other respect, even if the other is really different, or at least tolerance, except towards intolerance, solidarity with each other (so that they last much better than with the competitive spirit that in our society currently driving their neo-liberal mischief), responsibility for our social and natural world around, search for knowledge and wisdom, Equanimity and serenity, with all the necessary ambition, honesty and sincerity, modesty, but also a healthy sense of self, in short, wisdom and compassion and love and knowledge.
I do not like is all that is contrary to these values, competition, ie, selfishness, egocentricity, racism, intolerance, disrespect, self-satisfied remaining in ignorance, dishonesty, treachery, aggression, recklessness, cold-heartedness, self-righteousness, greed and lust for power, but and conformism, in short: greed, hatred and delusion.
See also my essay, "Socially Responsible obstinacy" later on this blog spot.
Other interests and activities:
- Men rock movement
Men also are not forced to wear only shorts. Skirts are often much more pleasant because airy, and often better than shorts.
to the topic I have some digital texts at hand:
neighbors (of 1999)
How come existence actually tastes? (Also 1999)
, what will people think? (Also 1999)
Mundus bracatus? No thanks! (also 1999)

(If that does not work http:// www.wikipedia.de/ Open Rock and men enter a search term.)
Review (also 2004)
Some texts are no longer in power. I can send them on request but you.
- Music
Above all, I love folk and world music. This much can be read by me under
http://www.bonn.folk.welt.musik.de.vu/ top and some CD reviews listed in Folker! are published.
I play a little tin whistle, recorder, harmonica and horn, but not really call myself a musician, but as music lovers.
- Photography
have over 50000 slides I photographed since 1981. Digital I have are mostly not at hand but here is one that in Folker! published and there is also on the homepage .
This is the duo Eric'n Krainy (Eric Limbach and Uwe Krainer) at the last meeting on 11/01/2004 at Bonner Folk Anno Tubac in Bonn.
And since recently, the possibility is to show digital pictures from my system here without having already had to have a URL that I try it here with a photo of a landscape in the Westerwald, namely: Giesenhausen:
However, one must the slides or prints to scan only once. Now and then I'm going to an image of this page or replace. For example, the top on top of the page will be shown now and then a different picture, since most of it will match the current season. (If I'm not the photographer himself, in this regard is a name in parentheses.)
- Travel
Well, if the money because is, I like to travel, and I think that they whole wide world right starts in front of the door and I take a walk or a hike in the nearby home as well guess a trip through a strange continent, and I on the other hand in America or Asia develop sense of home, because at least it's still our home planet. There is so much fun, landscapes, cities and cultures to explore.
- Nature Experience
to travel and every day I enjoy the view of landscapes, the observation of animals, the change of weather and seasons.
- Beer tasting
caution alcohol! There is so many tasty beers especially in the German, Belgian and British tradition. It's great fun, to taste . But wines, spirits (especially whiskeys and brandies ) and - ah, no alcohol, but with caffeine or theine - Tees I love.
My new discovery this summer. - Writing
Well, yes it shows here. "Who writes, remains" it says. What is published by my texts in print media, listed above, in some cases, what is somewhere on the Internet, but many things I have only hand-written in digital booklets, pads, and folders on hard disks and other storage media. Let's see what I still do like the Öffentichkeit accessible. So yes I would also like to earn some money, because I do not live solely by air, love and sunshine.
That was it yet, but here I stop, because the Diss waits on me and the time goes by ...
